So before we can talk about wedding toast etiquette, we need to know what a toast is. A toast is the act of raising a glass and drinking to honor someone or some thing. To start you offer the proposal of a toast, and then give the reasoning and the speech behind it. Now that we know what a toast is, we need to know how you know who gives the toast at a wedding. Knowing who gives the first toast and so forth is known as wedding toast etiquette.
